Canoeing tour around the village of Nurmijärvi


GUIDED ONE-DAY TOURS OF ERÄSTELY

We welcome you to enjoy the beauty of the nature by paddling on the waters of Lieksa. Your whole family can participate in this guided and safe canoeing tour. For the beginners we recommend the Nurmijärvi tour. Expert paddlers can test their skills on the wild rapids of Ruunaa. These tours can be participated in simply by signing up for Wednesday starts at least on the previous evening by 17 o’clock and for Sunday starts the previous Friday by 17 o’clock. 
 
CANOEING TOUR AROUND THE VILLAGE OF NURMIJÄRVI

Starts  on Wednesdays at 12.00 from July to the end of September



Duration of the tour: 3-4 hours, paddling distance 7 km

Guidance:
Paddling education - Before starting the tour our experienced paddling guides give you safety and equipment information and teach you the ABC of canoeing on a training track. You also paddle a ring tour with the guide – on the way a portage across the isthmus Akankannas about 50 m.

Meeting place: the  base of Erästely in the village of Nurmijärvi


Day programmes / Route description:
Route: River Jongunjoki – Lake Nurmijärvi – Pond Akanlampi – Isthmus Akankannas – Lake Puuruunjärvi – River Puuruunjoki – River Jongunjoki

Group size:
Minimum number of participants  6 persons – even for one person if agreed in advance


Equipment:
Don’t forget  your own packed lunch, drinks, sun cream, insect repellent and change  of clothes

Price:
Adults 35 € / person
Children 7-12 years 18 € / person (children with their parents on an extra seat)


The price includes:
the price includes canoe, lifevest, paddle, equipment barrel or bag and bailer
